Prof. Yuan Yan TANG

Prof. Tang is currently the Professor Emeritus in the Computer Science Department. He recieved his bachelor degree in Electronic & ComputerEngineering at Chongqing University, China, master degree in Electrical Engineering at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, China and Ph.D. degree in Computer Science at Concordia University, Montreal, Canada. Prof. Tang was named IEEE Fellow, Pattern Recognition Society (IAPR) Fellow. He also served as the Chair of Technical Committee on Pattern Recognition - IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society (Cybernetics) and the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of International Journal on Wavelets, Multiresolution, and Information Processing (IJWMIP).

Prof.Zhe Chen

Member of Danish Academy of Technical Sciences, Member of European Academy of Sciences and Arts, IET Fellow, IEEE Fellow, Aalborg University, Denmark

Zhe Chen, a professor at Aalborg University, Denmark, head of the wind energy research team, serves as editor/associate editor/editorial board member for several international journals. His main research directions include modern power system, multi-energy systems, smart grid, renewable energy generation, power electronic systems, etc. and he has published more than 1,000 papers in these fields. Professor Zhe Chen is a fellow of IEEE and IET, a Chartered Engineer, a member of the Danish Academy of Engineering, and a member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts.

Prof. Shuangping Huang
Vice Dean, School of Electronics and Information, South China University of Technology, China

Professor Shuangping Huang is engaged in teaching and research work in the Deep Learning and Visual Computing Team of School of Electronics and Information, South China University of Technology, mainly involving scene text detection and recognition, intelligent document analysis, computer vision, deep learning, machine learning and other related fields of theoretical and applied research. He is a member of the Document Analysis and Recognition Special Committee of Chinese Image and Graphics Society, a member of the Board of Directors of Guangdong Image and Graphics Society, and a member of the "Computer Vision" Special Committee of Guangdong Image and Graphics Society. He presided over two general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation "Natural Scene Text Detection and Recognition Based on Deep Reinforcement Learning and Path Integral Feature Map" and "Cross-scene Complex Page Analysis Algorithm Based on Graph Convolution and Domain Adaptation", two Guangdong Natural Science Foundation projects "Research on Page Structure Analysis Algorithm of Document Images", one public welfare special project of Guangdong Science and Technology Plan, and one basic research project of Guangzhou Science and Technology Innovation Commission. In the past five years, the accumulated research results have published more than 30 SCI/EI papers in Information Sciences, Pattern Recognition, Neurocomputing, ACM and other foreign journals and international conferences, and 23 invention patents have been submitted/accepted/published.

Prof. Huosheng Hu

IEEE  Life Senior Member, University of Essex, United Kingdom

Huosheng Hu is a Professor in the School of Computer Science & Electronic Engineering at the University of Essex, United Kingdom, leading the Robotics Research Group. He received the MSc degree in industrial automation from the Central South University in China and the PhD degree in robotics from the University of Oxford in the U.K. His research interests include mobile robotics, human-robot interaction, service robots, embedded systems, data fusion, learning algorithms, mechatronics, and pervasive computing. 

He has published over 500 papers in journals, books and conferences in these areas, and received a number of best paper awards. Prof. Hu is a Fellow of Institute of Engineering & Technology, a Fellow of Institute of Measurement & Control, and a founding member of IEEE Robotics & Automation Society Technical committee on Networked Robots. He has been a Program Chair or a member of Advisory/Organising Committee for many international conferences such as IEEE IROS, ICRA, ICMA, ROBIO conferences. He is currently Editor-in-Chief for International Journal of Automation and Computing, Editor-in-Chief for MDPI Robotics Journal, and Executive Editor for International Journal of Mechatronics & Automation.

Prof. Wei Cui

Wei Cui (Senior Member, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree in control science and engineering from the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, in 2011.

From 2011 to 2015, he was a Foreign Postdoctoral Researcher with the Institute of Physics and Chemical Research (Riken), Wako, Japan. He was a Visiting Scholar with the University of Turku, Turku, Finland, and the University of New South Wales (ADFA), Canberra, ACT, Australia, in 2010 and 2015, respectively. He is currently a Professor with the School of Automation Science and Engineering, South China University of Technology, Guangzhou, China. His current research interests include quantum artificial intelligence and blockchain technology.Prof. Cui received the Excellent Prize of President Scholarship from the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2011. He is a Young Editor of Control Theory and Technology.

Prof. Fausto P. Garcia Marquez

IEEE Senior Member, Castilla-La Mancha University, Spain

Fausto works at UCLM as a Full Professor (Accredited as Full Professor from 2013), Spain, an Honorary Senior Research Fellow at Birmingham University, UK, a Lecturer at the Postgraduate European Institute, a Research Fellow at INTI International University&Colleges, Malaysia, and has been Senior Manager in Accenture (2013-2014). He obtained his European PhD with maximum distinction. He has been distinguished with the prices: Runner Prize (2023), Nominate Prize (2022), Gran Maestre (2022), Grand Prize (2021), Runner Prize (2020) and Advancement Prize (2018), Runner (2015), Advancement (2013) and Silver (2012) by the International Society of Management Science and Engineering Management (ICMSEM), First International Business Ideas Competition 2017 Award (2017), etc.  He has published more than 257 papers (163 JCR: 80-Q1; 42-Q2; 33-Q3; 8-Q4), some recognized as: “Progress in Photovoltaics: Research and Applications” (Q1, IF. 8.49, one of the most downloaded in first 12 months of publications, 2023),  “Applied Energy” (Q1, IF 9.746, as “Best Paper 2020”), “Renewable Energy” (Q1, IF 8.001, as “Best Paper 2014”); “ICMSEM” (as “excellent”), “Int. Prof. Miaowen Wen

Miaowen Wenreceived the B.S. degree from Beijing   Jiaotong University, China, in 2009, and the Ph.D. degree in Peking   University, Beijing, China, in 2014. From September 2012 to September 2013,   he was a visiting student research collaborator in Princeton University, Princeton,   USA, under the supervision of Prof. H. Vincent Poor. He is currently with   South University of Technology, Guangzhou, China.

Dr. Wen has   published about 30 research papers in refereed journals and conference   proceedings. He received the outstanding Ph.D. thesis price from Peking   University and the best paper award from the IEEE International Conference on   ITS Telecommunication (ITST 2012) and the IEEE International Conference on   ITS (ITSC 2014). He has 1 issued China patent as well as 4 China patents and   1 PCT patent in application. He served as an IEEE member and a member of the   Technical Program Committee for IEEE ICC 2014/2015, IEEE VTC 2014 Fall/2015   Spring, and IEEE GLOBECOM 2015. His recent research interests include spatial   modulation, underwater acoustic digital signal processing, and information theory.

Prof. Qinmin Yang

Qinmin Yang received the Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Civil Aviation University of China, Tianjin, China in 2001, the Master of Science Degree in Control Science and Engineering from Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China in 2004, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla, MO USA, in 2007. From 2007 to 2008, he was a Post-doctoral Research Associate at University of Missouri-Rolla. From 2008 to 2009, he was a system engineer with Caterpillar Inc. From 2009 to 2010, he was a Post-doctoral Research Associate at University of Connecticut. Since 2010, he has been with the State Key Laboratory of Industrial Control Technology, the College of Control Science and Engineering, Zhejiang University, China, where he is currently a professor. He has also held visiting positions in University of Toronto and Lehigh University.

Assoc. Prof. LingyuLiang

IEEE Member, South China University of Technology, China

Dr. Lingyu Liang is currently an Associate Professor with the School of Electronic and Information Engineering, and with the School of Future Technology, South China University of Technology. From 2016 to 2017, he has been as an honorary postdoctoral researcher with the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He has published over 30 scientific papers in refereed journals and conference proceedings, including TCYB, TNNLS, TMM, TAFFC, TCSVT, PR, CVPR, NeurIPS and IJCAI. He has been a principle investigator of 13 research projects, including National Natural Science Foundation of China, Guangdong Natural Science Foundation, CAAI-Huawei MindSpore Open Fund, SenseTime Research Fund for Young Scholars etc. His current research interests include image analysis and recognition (covering images of face, natural scene, document/text and architectural design) and machine learning (including analysis and application of GNN and PDE models)
